About the awards

Award

The Financial World Innovation Awards have been running for more than a decade, recognising examples of the creativity, imagination and vision within the financial services industry. From early innovations in cashless payments and the introduction of security measures such as Chip and Pin to massive operations projects streamlining legacy systems, and the emergence of mobile banking, the awards have gone from strength to strength, attracting entries from financial services organisations across the globe – we have celebrated winners from Kenya and South Africa, as well as numerous category winners and shortlisted entries from Australia to Pakistan, from Turkey to Spain.

Constantly evolving, and from a small beginning, the awards have become a major event in the Financial Services industry calendar. Having outgrown several venues, more than 400 people now gather in the Grand Connaught Rooms at the celebratory gala dinner for our shortlisted finalists, where more than a dozen stunning trophies are awarded.

The awards celebrate all that is excellent and innovative within our industry and we would encourage you to browse through the Financial World Innovation Awards site to find out how the excellence in your organisation can become a nomination in the awards process. ‘Old hands’ and new entrants have equal chances to write a new chapter in the story of the Innovation Awards by nominating those projects which are new and exciting in the financial services arena.
